I BUY DVDS
Hi! People call me The DVD Guy, because I buy large collections of used DVDs in the greater Los Angeles area.
If you have a lot of old, unwanted DVDs cluttering up your life, I can come pick them up and even give you cash, if you're within a 20-mile radius of zip code 91206 (Glendale, California). If you have a really massive collection, then I can drive further.
Stack up your DVDs, take a clear photo of the spines/titles, and e-mail it to thedvdguy@ibuydvds.net. As long as I can clearly see what you would like to sell me, then I will get back to you as soon as possible to let you know how much cash I can give you and to arrange a pick-up date/time.
Thank you for your interest!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Who are you?
I'm The DVD Guy. I love movies and TV shows, and I'm on a mission to keep physical disc media in circulation.
What do you do with the DVDs?
I have a small DVD-selling business to make some extra money and help support my family. Anything I can't sell (unfortunately many DVDs are no longer sufficiently profitable), I donate to nonprofit organizations or to passionate personal collectors. I do my best to find a new home for DVDs and to keep cases and discs out of landfills.
I'm currently looking into local recreation centers and retirement homes to see if they have any use for DVDs. If you have any leads, please let me know!
Is there a minimum amount of DVDs you will take?
I pick up collections that have 100 or more DVDs (or Blu-rays). I will consider smaller collections if you have really unique or unusual DVDs. (If you're unsure, it doesn't hurt to contact me.)
Are there any other requirements?
DVDs must come in cases, with their original cover art. I don't buy loose discs, counterfeits, or discs with rental stickers on them. (I am willing to take these "discards" off your hands, but I can't count them as part of what I'm buying from you.)
I don't mind if the cases are bit dusty, but I cannot buy them if they are filthy, sticky, water-damaged, or just plain gross. (One person sold me a bunch of DVDs that a dog had urinated on, and I had to throw them all away.)
How much cash will you give me?
It depends on your collection. I will take a look at your DVD photo(s) and get you a quote as soon as possible.
Will I get rich selling you all my DVDs?Â
As I mentioned, many DVDs are no longer sufficiently profitable (because of the high selling fees on Amazon, eBay, and other platforms). But I'm willing to gas up my car, drive out to you, and take all your "bad" DVDs along with the "good" ones. You won't get rich, but at least you'll get some extra cash in your pocket.
To see if I'm giving you a fair price, you can check buy-back companies like declutter, EagleSaver.com, or sellbackyourBook.com to see how much money they will give you. Even though I don't run a huge multimillion-dollar operation like they do, I'm pretty sure you'll get a better deal from me.
Do you buy everything from everyone?
I buy most collections, but sometimes I can't buy everything. If I can't take your DVDs, you can donate them to a thrift store or check out this article on how to recycle them.
Do you work with libraries, schools, thrift shops, and retail stores?
Yes! I help various organizations and companies reduce their excess inventory. Contact me, and we can chat about it.
What if I have more questions?
Feel free to reach out to me at thedvdguy@ibuydvds.net, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Thank you for selling me your DVDs!
